While surfing the internet and starting to prepare a trip for my husband and myself to Russia I found this internet site that looked like it could help me.
It was extremely difficult when starting to prepare a trip to Russia because not alot of travel agencies in Winnipeg handled such travel especially due to the fact we were not booking with a tour package.
I originally sent an e-mail off to Eridan Travel. I received a response from Irina with whom we had keep in contact with while planning our vacation. I was very happy to see she understood English as well as spoke English.
We knew various locations we wanted to go and weren't sure about the which hotels to stay at but she was able to recommend good accomodations at fairly reasonable prices. Like any other holiday there were a few surprises in our accomodations but nothing that was unmanageable.
I really found it quite fascinating that a person on the other side of the world was able to communicate and plan a holiday of a lifetime with people she had never seen or never met before. It was hard to understand some things like booking a train ride or a plane flight could be a little bit more difficult in Russia than in Canada but all in all we were able to create a total package vacation in which we were extremely happy with the services provided by the agency.
The transfers provided in both Moscow and St. Petersburg made our vacation very relaxing. We were totally impressed with the translator used for L'Hermitage ( Olga ) she was truly amazing and a great person. I firmly believe that a service when received is only as good as the people working for the agency providing the service. So a job well done Irina and very much appreciated. To believe in trusting someone when charging a great deal or money on a credit card and to believe everything will be OK is truly remarkable. Thanks again.

I have to say thank you to Alexandra and Russian Tours.
I had a very nice apartment in the centre,at a reasonable price
and with a fantastic personalised service.
Highly reccommended to everybody.
Wonderful alternative to Hotels.

I liked this flat there are confort, very good bathroom and good kitchen!! It's in the center in good district and in few minutes you can visit walking all center!

Russian Tours was very helpful in helping us organize our trip to
Russia. They did all our reservations, including train tickets,
apartments and hotels in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, guided
tours and minivans. Additionally they provided us with information on
typical restaurants, theatres, and attractions in the cities we visited.
Their attention was very personalised, with main contact person who we
could contact at any time, and they would be in complete knowledge of
our situation and whereabouts. All reservations were done as agreed,
and we had no unpleasant surprises during our trip. As well, Russian
Tours had good different pricing alternstives, for all types of
travellers. We stongly recommend the student guide services, both in Moscow and
in Saint Petersburg...
The guides were extremely professional, spoke
perfect english and spanish, and were very friendly.

I want to thank you for the marvellous 6 day tour of
St. Petersburg that we had with your company from 16th-21st
September 2002. The service you gave was splendid and the concern
for detail we appreciated. Even when we wanted an extra day and
to go to particular places you changed the schedule very easily
to suit our requirements. The costs were scrupulously kept and
accounted for.
Our guide Olga and driver Sergie were an excellent team and
really made the tour live for us. Their knowledge of the areas
that we visited gave an extra personal touch not often found in
commercial tours. Both had cheerful personalities even in Russian
and eased our language difficulties.We came away with a lot
deeper understanding of your city and its history and culture.
My wife and I couldn't recommend your company more highly and
already have told our friends in Australia of our good
experiences in St. Petersburg. We would hope one day to return to
visit the places we didn't see and to investigate the Hermitage
more deeply.
